Please contact Congressman Jim Matheson's office for detailed information
( All information was sent to his office) regarding the history of Chevron pipeline and Salt Lake City's long interesting history regarding this pipeline even though they seem to violate the terms of the Instrument of Transfer between the Federal Government and Salt Lake City/ Salt Lake City SchoolBoard. In addition safety concerns were raised as early as 1993 by Greater Avenues Community Council/ Board including the possibility of events which indeed have occurred. No public hearings were ever held regarding the location of these pipelines on public property which seem to violate the restrictions placed on the use of the property. Why not?
Why did Salt Lake City approve these pipelines? Do they have any responsibility / liability in this situation as a result?
