If you were lucky enough to spend some spare hours or even days paddling one of Utah’s beautiful rivers or bird-watching in a wetland area or fishing a local stream last year, consider donating a few hours to protecting the places you love.
Volunteer efforts have contributed to Utah Rivers Council’s many successes – from stopping dams on the Bear River, to passing legislation strengthening water conservation planning, to successfully hosting the Paddle Festival.
Volunteer! You’ll meet great people – our dedicated volunteers are among the most interesting folks you could hope to find. You’ll get a chance to try out a new skill or perfect in old one – from stuffing envelopes to research to public speaking. And you’ll rest easy next summer as you play in Utah’s rivers, because you’ll know you did your part to keep the places you love clean, healthy and beautiful.
