About the Utah Rivers Council

The Utah Rivers Council protects Utah's rivers and clean water sources for today's citizens, future generations, and wildlife. The Utah Rivers Council is founded on a passion for protecting Utah's rivers. We base our work on the belief that as much as our work is about rivers, it is also about people.

Healthy rivers, healthy people and healthy communities are intertwined goals – none of the three can exist without the others. We know that an informed and engaged public is what will ultimately change the terms of the debate about the future of Utah's rivers.

If protecting rivers is as much about people as it is about rivers, then people must be central to our work. And they are. That's why we're glad you're here. Explore our website to discover how you can become central to the work of protecting Utah's beautiful rivers!
