Where: A brand new location, Oquirrh Lake at Daybreak! (4700 West 10400 South)

When: Saturday, June 6, 2009, 9-6 pm & Sunday, June 7, 2009, 9-5 pm

Learn to kayak, row, or cast - all while listening to live music!

boats_on_shore.jpg Utah Rivers Council Paddle Festival is Utah's biggest annual celebration of rivers and recreation, offering families a chance to explore new skills together in a fun outdoor environment. At the Festival, anyone six or older can learn to paddle, row, or fly fish. Participants enjoy a variety of new recreational, whitewater and flat water kayaks, canoes, dories, and rafts in a supportive setting.

The Festival offers clinics and workshops for beginners, as well as informal competitions. Rounding out the experience are live music, children's activities, great food and and prizes.

The event is a significant fundraiser for Utah Rivers Council and all proceeds benefit Council programs.

Entry to the Festival is free, participation in the activites costs $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12, with children under six free.
